Verified ReviewerRefund of Flour
Hello! My name is Zaria Ratcliff, for about 3 generations now my family and I have been making homemade yeast rolls to sell in our community.
And we've always tried to use the same ingredients to make our rolls. This includes the Gold Medal all purpose flour. On November 4, 2023 we went to the Sam's Club in Madison , MS to buy 20 lbs of the Gold Medal 12 lb bags of flour. This was enough for out Thanksgiving and Christmas orders this year.
After coming home to get started on the rolls, we started to sift out flour as we always do, and unfortunately we found that several of our new bags of flour were infested with boll weevils. This was very disheartening for us because we love our customers, they're our family and we want to treat them as such. We have already opened over half of our bags of flour and we are still finding the boll weevils. I am writing this email because i would like to know the procedure to process the return and refund of the the product.
We love this company's product, as stated before we've always used it, but we are asking to be compensated for our purchase because it was such a substantial amount. I have attached a receipt plus pictures of the boll weevils we doing while sifting.
Thank you for your time,
- Great flour

Verified Reviewer |General Mills putting soybean oil in their products
I used to buy Cascadian Farms Spud Puppies. They are organic tater tots, so you are paying a premium for this product.
They should be made with the best ingredients. They used to be made with vegetable oils. Now they have replaced vegetable oils with soybean oil. This is a cheap substitute and it's damaging to people's health.
When I called to find out about why this was changed on April 24, 2023, I got no response.
I called again today, January 8 and I was told because of limited resources, that's why they didn't respond!!! Almost an entire YEAR has gone by!
Also, for this being an American based food company, they must not value or care to employ Americans, because all of their customer service is outsourced and can barely speak English. This makes it extremely difficult to even do the most basic things because it takes so long and then they sometimes transfer you around.
They all say that they are trained, but could barely understand basic questions. I spent a lot of time on the phone with them just trying to get answers.
User's recommendation: Boycott General Mills and demand they stop using soybean oil.

Canola oil use
General Mills, Inc.
P.O. Box 9452
Minneapolis, MN 55440
Dear General Mills, 2/18/24
I am writing to tell you that I enjoy your Nature Valley Granola a lot.
Unfortunately, you make the granola with canola oil which is bad for everyones health.
So my family will discontinue purchasing your Granola products.
If you want to continue sales to people who are health and heart conscious, you will discontinue the use of canola oil, which you are probably using as a binder in the production of your granola.
You have other healthy options to pursue to make the granola healthy for everyone:
1.Stop using the canola oil period.
I believe you have enough binders in the recipe to stop the use of canola oil.
2.Increase your healthy binders to get rid of the canola oil.
3.If you absolutely have to have an oil, use flaxseed oil which is more heart friendly, but not perfect. Chia seeds are a better binder.
My wife makes granola and only uses honey.
I hope you change your recipe and make your granola healthy.
Thanks
Kevin Soto
